Allelopathy Journal - Official Publication of Allelopathy Books
The Allelopathy Journal, published by Allelopathy Books, is a self-supporting, non-profit organization without institutional or governmental funding. Publication charges cover operational costs (e.g., employee salaries, internet, electricity, office rent, web hosting) and article processing (e.g., peer review, professional copyediting, proofreading, formatting). These charges ensure the production and 24/7 online hosting of high-quality, peer-reviewed articles.
Charges are significantly lower than those of major publishers (e.g., Springer, Elsevier, PLOS ONE). Authors, their institutions, or funding agencies pay only after the galley proof is ready, based on the final page count. Payment is mandatory for publication and includes one year of free online access for the corresponding author (valued at € 400).
Publication charges vary based on the Human Development Index (HDI) to support researchers in lower-income countries:
| Category | Charges |
|---|---|
| Developed Countries | € 300 per 4 pages |
| India | Rs. 4000 per 4 pages |
| African Countries (except developed countries like South Africa) | € 350-400 per manuscript |
| Pakistan, Iran, and Neighboring Countries | € 300-350 per manuscript |
| . |
Note: Charges for African and certain other countries are bundled for the entire manuscript, regardless of page count or figures.
Authors receive a proforma invoice based on the final page count once the galley proof is ready. Payment must be made before publication, typically from the author's research budget or institution.
